I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
